The Legacy Gift Box

The Legacy Gift Box is what we made for the moment you cannot find the words. A friend has lost someone and you do not know what to send. A flower will wilt in a week. A card will be filed away in a drawer. This is something else.

Each box is hand-packed by a single maker in our Yorkshire workshop and contains: one small river-stone keepsake (ready to be engraved later, when the recipient is ready), one sterling silver memorial pendant, an archival cloth journal for handwritten memories, a fountain pen, a handwritten card from our team, and instructions for building the memorial at the recipient's own pace ??? there is no rush, ever.

The recipient builds the memorial themselves, in their own time. They can take a week. They can take a year. They can leave it blank for now and come back to it. When they are ready, they post us a single photograph and the name they want engraved, and we finish the stone and the pendant for free and post them back.

The box is linen-wrapped and ribbon-tied, made in a small bindery in Cork. The journal is acid-free cotton paper, the pen is a refillable cartridge fountain pen, the card is handwritten by a real person who has done this many times. It arrives on a doorstep when words have run out.
